Mahroo Hamedani is a classical pianist, certified Suzuki educator, collaborative pianist, and piano instructor with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Portland State University, an academic background that informs her thoughtful musicianship, refined technique, and engaging approach to music education.

As a collaborative pianist, Mahroo has performed at premier venues across the United States, including New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center (home of the Nashville Symphony), and the Strathmore Music Center in Maryland.

In addition to performing and teaching, Mahroo is dedicated to creating high-quality educational resources for the global music community. Her recording catalog includes widely streamed instructional collections, such as Carl Czerny’s Practical Exercises for Beginners, Op. 599, as well as collaborative performance projects like An Afternoon with Duo Nativis.

She is also the creator of the popular Suzuki with Mahroo Hamedani YouTube channel, where she provides high-quality piano accompaniments that are used daily by thousands of students, teachers, and musicians around the world.
Mahroo lives in Wilsonville, Oregon. 

In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring the many restaurants that the Portland area has to offer.
