Stephanie Byrd has studied calligraphy intensively for 12 years with the local legends Carol DuBosch and Christine Colasurdo as well as taking classes and workshops taught by many other expert calligraphers from all over the world. She is a member of the Portland Society for Calligraphy and San Francisco’s Friends of Calligraphy and has frequently exhibited her award-winning work in Portland and Salem. Stephanie has bachelor’s degrees in French and English and works as a freelance graphic designer. She enjoys reading, gardening, riding her bike, and volunteering with local organizations such as the calligraphy society and her sons’ public schools.
